My
First International mission,
140 personnel’s
of Indonesian FPU travelled to Darfur Sudan on
the inaugural overseas mission with the United Nation in 2008, and they made a
history as the first Indonesian Armed Police deployed in the UN mission. When they
boarded a UN plane on 11th October 2008 lead up to Elfasher North
Darfur their put a role in one of the UN's most complicated mission.
They were
attached in UNAMID a peacekeeping force deployed to Elfasher North Darfur to
monitoring peace process there and, ensure safety for the UN staff, UN Police Advisors,
Un Volunteers also Refugees. Indonesian FPU were among other civilians police
from all over the world that join with the UNAMID mission.FPU were used to
provide a sense of security to all UN
component including UN materials, and also
to the refuges in the IDP Camps. Limited right that FPU had can’t stopping
for intimidation for Human Right Violations, to monitor the peace process in
Darfur and ensure a sense of safety is our main duty. As well as to assist with the
establishment and maintenance of law and order in congested regions.
